The Passage Plan
First, understand where you are. Then decide what the work requires.
Greenwich works in four distinct phases. Each produces a complete outcome, and each gives you a clear choice about what comes next.
You do not need to commit to the entire Method on day one.
Start with a conversationGetting
oriented
Measurements taken to determine the depth of water.
See the organization before trying to change it.
Soundings uses structured conversations across levels, functions, and critical handoffs to reveal how the organization actually operates, not only how it appears from the top.
We follow the signal until recurring strengths, contradictions, friction points, and workarounds are clear enough to act on.
Soundings stands on its own. If the evidence points to a small, targeted need, or no further engagement, Greenwich will say so.
Start with a conversationSetting
the course
The direction in which a vessel’s bow is pointing.
Shared words are not shared understanding.
Heading turns what we learned into shared clarity about purpose, destination, customer value, strategic choices, near-term priorities, and decision principles.
Greenwich facilitates the thinking, surfaces contradictions, and pressure-tests assumptions. The organization owns the answers.
Before the work is complete, we test whether the direction can travel beyond the people who created it.
Sending a strategy is communication. People interpreting it similarly enough to act is shared understanding.
Start with a conversationMaking direction operational
Not at anchor, made fast to shore, or aground.
Clarity must travel into the work.
Underway translates direction into the operating mechanisms required for execution.
The work begins with an Operating Priorities Map, then moves through short cycles.
A process is not finished because it has been documented. We watch what happens when people actually use it.
Practical tools built around the priorities that matter most, not a generic stack of frameworks.
The goal is an operating system the organization can own, use, and improve without Greenwich becoming permanent infrastructure.
Start with a conversationChecking
position
Defined positions used to mark a route and check progress.
Drift rarely announces itself.
Waypoints are scheduled, typically quarterly, sessions that create an intentional moment to look again.
We review signals, changed conditions, and the assumptions beneath the current course, then help leadership decide what should change and what should hold.
Waypoints provide periodic outside perspective. They are not an indefinite fractional leadership arrangement.
Start with a conversationEach phase earns the next one.
We can map the likely journey and discuss the potential investment. The contractual decision happens one phase at a time.
At the end of each phase, you have something complete and useful, and a clear choice to continue, pause, or take the work forward internally.
Where Greenwich is most useful
The work requires access to people closest to the work and a willingness to examine the system, not simply validate a decision already made.
Note — Engagements are scoped around organizational complexity and the work required. Travel and in-person delivery are priced separately.
Start where the evidence points.
You do not need to know which phase you need before we talk. Start with what you are seeing, what has already been tried, and why it matters now.
